Kramatorsk Glow Path Project

Glow paths have been a popular addition to parks, recreational areas, and even residential neighborhoods for years now. But what if we told you there's an innovative approach to glow path applications that is taking the industry by storm? Enter BASF's new proprietary coating system, which uses AGT™ ULTRA Grade Glow Stones embedded in a new semi-porous paving system.

This system is a game-changer in the world of glow paths because it offers several key benefits. For starters, the AGT™ glow stones are specifically sized to provide the maximum glow effect, ensuring that your path will be visible even in low-light conditions. This means that people can use the path safely at night, which can be a significant advantage in areas where there is a lot of foot traffic after dark.

In addition to its superior glow capabilities, this new coating system is also environmentally friendly. It uses a low VOC BASF resin, which means that it emits fewer harmful chemicals into the environment than traditional paving materials. This is a crucial factor for anyone who wants to create a sustainable, eco-friendly outdoor space.

So how does this new coating system work? First, a base coat of stone and low VOC BASF resin is applied to the trail surface. Once the surface has been leveled, the AGT™ glow stones are hand broadcasted on top and rolled into the surface. This creates a semi-porous paving system that allows water to drain through the surface, reducing the risk of flooding and making it easier to maintain the path.

One company that has already taken advantage of this innovative approach to glow path applications is BTG, experts in AGT™ Glow Stone Applications. In September 2020, they used this new coating system to create a stunning glow path in a public park in Kramatorsk, Ukraine.
