Glowing Compass Medallion on a Stamped Concrete Dock

At AGT™, we love showcasing the creative possibilities of stamped concrete and Glow Sand. One of our standout projects from 2019-2020 took place along the picturesque Niantic River in Connecticut, where our products where used by Signature Stamped Concrete, LLC to transform over 3,300 square feet of space with unique designs and techniques.

This project was a true collaboration with the client, who allowed Milton and his team from Signature Stamped Concrete, LLC, the freedom to create something magical. The result was a dynamic and visually appealing space that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the Niantic River. They used a Butterfield’s Gilpin Falls Bridge Plank pattern for the dock area. This pattern replicates a 16-inch-wide board, complete with authentic details like original nails and knots, giving it a rustic, driftwood-gray appearance.

The highlight of this project was the integration of AGT™ Aqua Blue Fine Glow Sand. They used a custom mix of glow sand and acrylic sealer in the grout lines of a compass medallion, creating an enchanting effect that shines brightly at night. Additionally, they placed 1-inch circles along the dock's edge, filled with the same glowing mixture, to help mark the boundary. These glowing dots, along with the illuminated compass, create a stunning visual experience, especially when viewed after sunset.
