Minnesota Glowing Fire Pit Walkway
This Minnesota glowing fire pit walkway gives a backyard in Big Lake its own built-in light. This circular concrete patio wraps around a fire pit ring, with a sweeping band of AGT™ ULTRA-X Glow Stones in Aqua Blue and Sky Blue set into the surface as exposed aggregate. After sunset, the band glows from the walkway right up to the fire, with no wiring and no electricity.

A Glowing Path Straight to the Fire
The design splits the patio into smooth concrete panels separated by one curving channel of glow stones. That channel starts at the walkway, winds through the middle of the slab and wraps around the base of the fire pit, so the glow works as both a design feature and a guide line for anyone heading out after dark. A second band traces the outer edge of the patio and outlines the whole space against the lawn.
At dusk the smooth panels fade into shadow while the aggregate band lights up. The design pairs two AGT™ ULTRA-X colors for a layered blue glow. Aqua Blue has the longest afterglow in the ULTRA-X line, while Sky Blue brings the cool blue tone designers favor for pathways and outdoor entertainment spaces. Together they keep the walkway glowing late into the night. AGT™ ULTRA-X Glow Stones charge in about 8 minutes of daylight and glow for 15+ hours, so the patio recharges on its own every day.
How the Glow Band Was Installed
The glow band is finished as exposed aggregate concrete, which leaves the top of each glow stone uncovered so it can absorb daylight. Contractors planning a similar layout can follow the AGT™ Exposed Aggregate Installation Guide for seeding, exposure and cleanup steps, then use the AGT™ Glow Stone Broadcast Coverage Calculator to estimate material for their square footage.
